Fraud Suspect Sought
On 08/20/2015, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a reported from a citizen stating that their vehicle had been broken into at their residence. During that crime, the victims checkbook was stolen. The victim advised that approximately 6 checks had been written on the same date of the larceny in large amounts. The checks were made out in the name of another Lee County residence whose car was broken into approximately a month earlier where her pocketbook was stolen. Her pocketbook contained her personal identification cards and other miscellaneous items.
Further investigation led to this suspect (shown above) seen cashing these checks at Capital Bank located in Sanford, Greensboro and High Point. The suspect is believed to be operating a new model Toyota Camry, blue in color.
