Stronger Communties are Safer Communities

Today, law enforcement officers across our county, including SPD and SHP met and activated their blue lights for one minute at 11:00 a.m. to pay their respects to the slain Texas deputy and others who have given their lives protecting their communities.

Texas deputy Goforth was murdered while pumping gas.

His funeral service was held today at 11:00.

Respect and pride in our law enforcement must be restored. Today in Lee County, we made a big step towards that! Thanks for all that participated in solidarity to support the men and women who serve and protect your community!
