Drug Units Start Off The Year With Six Arrests



On Tuesday January 5, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Edward Antonio Paynter age 29 of 206 Talley Avenue Sanford. Painter was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver Marijuana, 1 count of felony sell and deliver Marijuana, 1 count felony maintaining a dwelling place used to store and sell illegal controlled substance, and 1 count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Painter was jailed under a $3,000.00 secured bond.



On Tuesday January 5, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Junior James Pate age 44 of lot 2 Tim Lane. Pate was arrested and charged with 1 count of simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance (OXYCODONE), 1 count of possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce, 1 count of misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling place for the use of illegal controlled substance and 1 count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Pate was jailed under a $5,000.00 secured bond.



On Wednesday January 6, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Curtis Antonio Beasley age 36 of 1103 S. 7th Street Sanford. Beasley was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver Schedule II controlled substance (CRACK) Cocaine, 2 counts of Felony sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (CRACK) Cocaine, 2 counts of felony maintaining a dwelling used for the sale of illegal controlled substance and 2 counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Beasley was jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond.



On Friday January 8, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Dianne Renee Bodenhamer age 44 of 530 McIver Street Sanford. Bodenhamer was charged with 1 count of conspiracy to sell and deliver an illegal controlled substance (OXYCODONE). Bodenhamer was jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond.




On Friday January 8, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Heather Grace Bodenhamer age 21 of 530 McIver Street Sanford. Bodenhamer was charged with 1 count of sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (OXYCODONE), and 1 count of felony maintaining a vehicle as a storage place for the sales of illegal controlled substance. Bodenhamer was jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond.



On Friday January 8, 2016 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested Jennifer Leann Bertram of Sanford. Bertram was charged with 1 count of trafficking Opium (OXYCODONE), and 1 count of felony possession of a controlled substance in a confinement facility (LEE COUNTY JAIL). Bertram who was serving weekends in the Lee County Jail. Bertram reported to the Lee County Jail on Friday and upon entry jail staff searched Bertram and discovered that Bertram had attempted to bring into the jail 6 dosage units of Oxycodone. Bertram did this by hiding the controlled substance inside of her body.
