Three Arrested on Border Lee Farm Rd for Drugs


Early Thursday morning May 17th, 2018 at approximately 12:25am Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Border Lee Farm Road in regards to a suspicious vehicle in the area. Once in the area deputies located a vehicle sitting along the side of the road at the intersection of Ridge road and Border Lee Farm road, occupied by three individuals. When approaching the vehicle and making contact with the occupants Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

Deputies detained all occupants of the vehicle and notified the Lee County narcotics division of the activity taking place. Agents responded to the scene and a search of the passenger area was conducted. Deputies uncovered several illegal controlled substances throughout the vehicle. 

Agents arrested, processed and charged Corey Main Austin age 19, 0f 315 Claude White Road, Cameron, with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver 50 grams of Marijuana, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle used for the storage, use and sells of illegal controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Rashaan Antoine Cox age 21, of 1480 Line Road, Sanford, with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver 35 grams of Marijuana, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle used for the storage, use and sells of illegal controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Brianna Smith age 18, of 241 Lee Loop Road, Cameron, with one count of felony possession of one dosage unit of (crack) Cocaine, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Corey Austin and Rashaan Cox were jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond and Brianna Smith was jailed under a $5,000.00 secured bond.
