Search Warrant Executed on St. Andrews Church Rd; Two Arrested


On Monday May 14th, 2018 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant on the residence located at 1401 St. Andrews Church Road, Sanford.

Agents encountered and detained three individuals in the process of entering the residence. After securing the residence, agents conducted a search and located approximately 3 grams of crystal meth, and 2 grams of marijuana.

Both David Christopher Winstead the property owner, and roommate Jason Ray Woody were both taken into custody.

David Christopher Winstead, the home owner was arrested, processed, and charged with one count of felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver crystal meth, one count of felony maintaining a dwelling place used for the purpose to store, sell and use illegal controlled substance, one count of misdemeanor possession of Marijuana, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Winstead was jailed under a $20,000.00 secured bond.

Jason Ray Woody was arrested, processed, and charged with one count of felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver crystal meth, one count of felony maintaining a dwelling place used for the purpose to store, sell and use illegal controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Woody was also served with an outstanding felony warrant for arrest for probation violation. Jason Ray Woody was jailed under a $45,000.00 secured bond.
