Traffic Stop Nets Stolen Gun, Drugs & More...

Thursday afternoon April 4, 2019 Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents arrested Jason Godden, age 38, of 154 Lizzie Jeter Ln, Cameron, and Mariah Heather Lively, age 45, of 3500 Rigel Ct, Raleigh.

Agents initiated a stop of the vehicle, after agents observed the vehicle Lively was operating, traveling in excess of 20 miles an hour over the posted speed limit, in a residential area on Westover Drive. Agents located 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine, nine dosage units of Suboxone and a stolen firearm on the passenger Jason Godden, and one gram of crystal methamphetamine on Lively the operator. Agents transported both Godden and Lively to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Agents charged Jason Godden, with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine, one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver nine dosage units of Suboxone a schedule III controlled substance, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, one count of carrying a concealed firearm, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mariah Heather Lively was charged with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle used to store and sell controlled substances, one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and cited for exceeding the posted speed limit.

Agents also served an outstanding order for arrest on Jason Godden issued by the Lee County district court division for failure to appear. Jason Godden was jailed under a $16,000.00 secured bond, and Mariah Heather Lively was jailed under a $5,000.00 secured bond.
