Sanford Man Arrested With Crystal Meth

On Tuesday July 2, 2019 Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents arrested George Oscar Baker age 52, of 2633 Lanlier Drive, Sanford. In response to numerous complaints, and while in the parking lot conducting surveillance, Agents observed a 1997 green Chevrolet Blazer registered to George Baker pull out of the Econo Lodge located at 1403 North Horner Boulevard with a Black Chevrolet 4X4 following not far behind. Agents followed along and observed both vehicles pull into the parking lot of the Circle K Store located at 1130 North Horner Boulevard, Sanford. After approximately 20 minutes passed and the activity taking place around the two vehicles agents approached the individuals surrounding the vehicles to investigate. Agents discovered that George Baker was in possession of approximately 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine.
Agents transported Baker to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing and charges. George Baker was charged with one count of felony possession of crystal methamphetamine, one count of felony maintaining a vehicle used for the purpose of storing and using an illegal controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
George Baker was jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
