Search Warrant Nets Small Growing Operation

On Tuesday June 25, 2019 at approximately 4pm, agents of the National Guard Counter Drug program spotted two marijuana plants growing on the back deck of a residence located at 116 Hancock Road, Sanford.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents applied for a search warrant of the residence. Agents were issued a search warrant of the residence and executed the warrant on the property located at 116 Hancock Crossing Road, Sanford. Upon entry agents located a small amount of processed marijuana drying in a bedroom inside the residence and later located 7 marijuana plants growing in an out building just behind the residence. In total the agents seized 9 marijuana plants with a total weight of just over 6 pounds. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $8400.00

On Wednesday 26, 2019, Bobby Lee McIntyre, the resident owner came into the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to be served.

McIntyre was processed for one charge of manufacturing marijuana, one charge of felony maintaining a dwelling place for the storage and use of an illegal controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia. Bobby McIntyre was jailed under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
