Two men have been charged in connection with the death of Chavez Lamar Spearman, 21, of Lillington. Marcel Lamar McNeill, 21, of 2753 Minter School Road, Sanford, and
Laquan Maurice Thomas, 21, of 1317 Summerset Place, Sanford, have each
been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of
robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to Sanford Police.
McNeill and Thomas have been placed in Lee County Jail under no bond with a first court appearance set for Monday. Spearman was killed Feb. 26 while sitting in his vehicle at a residence on Shawnee Circle, according to Sanford Police.
