Following his retirement, Mr. Thomas was involved in many civic organizations and remained well respected by rising department members as well as the community.
Funeral arrangement are being held by Rogers & Pickard Funeral Home.
Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 @ Center United Methodist Church located at 4141 South Plank Road, Sanford at 2pm. Those attending the service should plan to arrive no later than 1:30pm.
Sheriff Carter and staff would like to extend condolences to the family and friends as we keep them in our prayers during this difficult time.
