On Saturday June
30, 2018, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents assisted the North
Carolina State Highway Patrol on a vehicle stop, when Karon Kendrick Battle was
arrested after attempting to flee from troopers while on a motorcycle. Troopers
and agents found Battle to be in possession of approximately three grams of
crack form cocaine at the time of arrest.
Battle was transported, processed and charged with felony possession of Cocaine, felony maintain a vehicle used for the storage and use of illegal controlled substance, and numerous traffic violations to include felony flee and elude, failure to heed blue light and siren, and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
Battle was jailed under a $15,000.00 secured bond.
