The Voice of Hope - NPSTW

"National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week" occurs every year during the second week of April. The Sheriff’s Office wants to recognize the diligence and professionalism of our Telecommunicators – Sheriff’s communications officers - who serve in our communications center. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office asks that you join in and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public.

Our communications officers are the first ones to receive your emergency calls and what they do with those calls can often greatly influence the outcome of the event in question. The pressure and stress of the job is high.  It's a thankless job, behind the scenes and sometimes passed over when praise is given by victims.  Our Telecommunicators process thousands of phone calls, dispatch deputies and do their utmost to keep the public safe as they perform one of the most stressful positions in law enforcement.

Please take a moment and thank them publicly for their service!
