Upon pulling onto the property, agents located Akil Matthew Mcaden, age 36, sitting inside of a small white passenger car in the driveway. Upon entry to the residence agents located another resident, Jessica Antonia Dominique McCoy, age 25, and a small child. Agents were successful in detaining McCoy without incident. The child was cared for by a Lee County Sheriff’s Office school resource officer throughout the entirety of the operation.
Agents conducted a complete search of the residence, the exterior of the property and the vehicle. In the course of the search agents located approximately two grams of heroin, along with numerous items of paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and sales of heroin in the kitchen area. Both Mcaden and McCoy were transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office shortly after McCoy’s grandmother responded to the scene and took custody of the small child.
Agents charged both Mcaden and McCoy with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance within 1000 foot of a school (Bragg Street Academy), felony maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling and storing a controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Mcaden and McCoy were jailed under a $25,000.00 secured bond.
